Well looky what we’ve got here! A new post and it hasn’t been months on end since my last one. Hurray!
This weekend we had double birthday bash at my brother Craig’s house. I took some pics there of course, but I haven’t posted them anywhere. Not sure if I will, but if I do…they’ll be in the Faces section. Happy birthday today to Uncle Dan.
It’s already a very sun-shiny day, high of 14C (57F). I’m sure there are photo-ops to be had somewhere, even here in Newmarket.
Alright, alright, so it’s been almost a year since I’ve written in my own blog…so what? 
I’ve had a couple of jerks try to spam my blog in the past two days, so I thought I should get going and actually do something with it. So, here I am!
I still have my eye on the Nikon D700 as my next camera. Any higher up and I am certain to confuse myself with all the buttons and options in the D3 series from Nikon. I must admit though, having 24.5 MP is intriguing. My D70s has been and still is a fantastic camera. The quality of pictures that I produce with it still amazes me. ”Better” and more expensive cameras have often lost the battle of the better picture with my D70s, so it’s a definite keeper.
The D700 (and any Nikon above) have superior low-light control and I’d love to get some great shots in unfavourable lighting conditions. I dislike grain. I mean, I like it in bread, just not in my photographs.
Speaking of bread, I have some great pictures of food that I’ll be putting up on the site soon, so watch for it!
